Spitfire 1500 Winter Repairs Cont...

With the car now in the garage it's time to get it up in the air on jackstands and have a look at what it really needs to get back on the road this spring.

So now with the car up in the air I have the wheels pulled off the car and the hardtop removed for easier access to the interior of the car. I have the new starter put in the car now and hooked up. Now the remove the brake calipers on the front of the car and pull the drums off the rear to check them and make adjustments if necessary.

More updates and progress of the repairs as well as cleaning the interior of the old carpeting will be up soon.

Repair UPDATE!!!

The parts were ordered and got delivered to me about 2 months ago, and I now finally after this long period of time I have finally got the new brake calipers, pads, and new rubber lines put on the car as well as some interior touches with a new walnut shift knob and new sunvisors with hardware.

The new starter has been installed and hooked back up, new valve cover gasket as well as a fresh oil change followed. New high and low horns have been installed as the old ones were messed. New rear poly bushings have been installed with new rear shocks. New drivers side mirror has been installed as well. Other than that more pictures of all that will be up soon. Wheels and black center caps are put on the car now and it is off the jack stands on the ground, now just some final touches and it will be on the road this summer.
